Get Nutrition Facts | Dine Out, Eat Healthy

TGI Fridays offers cravable items and proprietary recipes!

Another delayed response to my request for nutritional information, this time from TGI Friday’s. I don’t want to rehash what they sent me, so I copied it below:

As healthy eating continues to diversify, T.G.I. Friday’s restaurants understand that people have different nutritional desires. Our menu offers a wide variety of cravable items which are prepared by our staff using our proprietary recipes.
Although we have great procedures in place, any deviation from our recipe would alter nutritional information. Deviation could simply mean the restaurant substituted one of the ingredients from a different or local vendor. Currently, I do not have the recipe or ingredient statements available for many of our menu items, the nutritional information we provide is available on our menu under the “Low Fat” and “Low Carb” section. Listed there you will find specific menu items providing the “Net Carbs” and items which have approximately 10g FAT AND 500 CALORIES. T.G.I. Friday’s guests, like yourself, expect our high standard of great taste, innovation, and value. Watch our menu as we expand our offerings even more or visit www.fridays.com.

So, T.G.I. Friday’s can’t provide nutrition facts, because you might decide to substitute fries with a salad or something? Maybe I’m being harsh, but this sounds like a cop-out to me.

I don’t eat at T.G.I. Friday’s that often, but next time I go, I’m going to request their nutritional information. I wonder what their response will be. If I get some information from them, I’ll post it.

I just returned from having lunch at T.G.I. Friday's & I did ask for their nutritional information ~ the response I received was that they did not have any nutritional information available unless it was stated in the menu (when I searched the menu to see if anything had the facts all I could find was 1 item was marked Low Fat & 1 item was marked Low Carbs ~ and even on those there was a note at the bottom of the menu that stated items were cooked to order & that could alter the nutritional information) ~ So what to eat??? Ummm ~ well I chose the Petite Sirloin (plain) and the broccoli (plain) and the mashed potatoes ~ ya got it plain~ I did indulge in their special 3 for 1 ~ that included starters & dessert all for the price of $12.99 ~ so along with my lunch entree I also enjoyed the New menu item of an Italian Wedge Salad (oil & vinegar on the side) & I split a dessert with my mother in law ~ we opted for the cheesecake (it was worth every calorie / carbohydrate it contained) …. half of both my salad & entree was boxed for me to take home to enjoy another time….. however that doesn't really help me to know what my calorie & carbohydrate count is after enjoying my meal ever so much! It was more than enough food to satisfy with plenty leftover to enjoy another time. Now that being said leaves me with only one thought ~ they are too lazy to have someone look at the recipes and determine the nutritional facts so that all may know how to order what is best for their needs? Get off it … it really isn't that huge of a difference from one "cook" to another unless they all cook without measuring tools … umm are they back in the kitchen working up such huge batches of these menu items in advance that they couldn't possibly tell how many calories are in a serving???? Other large chains can provide the information I believe that Fridays' should also … no wonder I very rarely go there to eat!

I agree. I oddly enough had lunch there today and chose the same entree, the wedge with blue cheese and subbed a "worms and dirt" from the kids menu. I figured it was easier to guess at the "points" for ww totals that way-
