Ruby Tuesday’s Nutrition Facts for Friday

Another of my favorite national chain restaurants is Ruby Tuesday. They kind of fell of the radar a few years ago, but lately I’ve seen more of them opening up. I love their salad bar! To my knowledge, it’s one of the few national restaurants that even offers a salad bar. Most of them just give you a plate with a few greens and some cheese… maybe. The Ruby Tuesday website is nice to look at as well. It has a very web 2.0 (dining 2.0?) feel to it. Ruby Tuesday does have nutrition facts available, but it’s kind of hidden. You can view the nutrition facts from their ‘Menu’ page. In the navigation bar, click the link that says ‘Download Nutrition Information’. It’s a .pdf document (uggh!) but that’s pretty typical for these restaurant chains. You can click here to view the .pdf file.

Also, they do have limited nutrition facts available directly on their site. When you are on the menu page, if you click the Smart Eating Choices item, a few menu items are listed with the nutritional information directly underneath the item. I’d like to see them do it for all menu items, but at least it’s a start- and it’s more than a lot of restaurants are doing.
