Carino’s Italian Grill is one of the many casual Italian dining options available to restaurant-goers in this country. And, like many national chains, their nutritional information is hard to find. Their web site only provides nutritional information about their low-fat menu. That’s a lot like GMC promoting their vehicles that get decent gas mileage, while conveniently forgetting about the Hummer that gets very poor mileage. (more…)

Mimi’s cafe menu is full of very tasty dishes. What’s more, if you tell them that it’s your first visit, they give you a free basket of muffins! Yummy! Anyway, neither their menu nor their web site provides any nutritional information. Although their website states “We use ZERO GRAMS TRANS FAT, CHOLESTEROL-FREE COOKING OIL for all of our delicious fried appetizers.” (more…)

Fox News.com posted an article about how hamburgers are now considered gourmet. They’ve always been ‘gourmet’ around our house. ;) Anyway, you should check out the article over at foxnews.com, if for nothing else, the picture of the GIGANTIC hamburger that accompanies the article! I wonder how many calories are in that thing…

After what seems like a very lengthy blogging sabbatical, I’m back with more nutritional information for you. My wife and I both enjoy dining at Olive Garden, but if you are paying attention to what you eat, you can’t eat at Olive Garden very often. Now their menu doesn’t provide any nutritional information whatsoever, so I made a visit to their website. (more…)
