After what seemed like forever, I finally received an email response from Longhorn Steakhouse. I’ve copied the text of the email below for your reading enjoyment:
Thank you for your email and for your interest in the LongHorn Steakhouse. We are currently in the process of testing all of our products to be able to, upon request, supply our guests with nutritional information.
That being said, I do have some nutritional information to date, but it is not yet completed and it is not yet formatted for distribution for our entire menu. We hope to have this entire process completed in the near future.
If you have other specific item requests please feel free to contact me and if the analysis is complete on that item I would be happy to forward to you.
Thank you for your inquiry. We look forward to seeing you at the LongHorn Steakhouse soon.
So, apparently, Longhorn Steakhouse knows the nutritional value of their menu, but they are in the process of formatting (read: making it sound not so bad) it for their entire menu.
I certainly don’t adhere to a vegetarian diet, but I know that I don’t feel so good after eating copious amounts of red meat. There’s something to be said for red meat in moderation.
Eventually, it seems, Longhorn Steakhouse will get off their duffs and make information available upon request. I’d prefer that they put it in their menu, but that’s probably asking too much.
